Native to Florida, this slow-growing, striking perennial succulent typically forms a large rosette of thick, fleshy, lance-shaped leaves. The leaves are blue-green to gray-green, with sharp, spiny edges and can reach up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length.
Dig a hole that's about twice as wide as the plant's container but no deeper. Gently loosen the roots of the plant before placing it in the hole. Fill in the sides of the hole with well-draining soil, like cactus soil, and water the plant.
