Medlar

Plant in fertile, well-drained soil in Spring or Fall in a sunny area. Plant in a hole about twice the size of the root and add compost. Add a stake, and tie the tree close to the base, backfill, and water.

Passion Fruit Vine
USDA Zone 9b and above
This tropical fruit must be planted in fertile, well-drained soil with plenty of room and sturdy trellis in full sunlight. Water thoroughly. These vines can grow up to 20 feet per year. Plant in the Spring or leave in the pot with a support structure for climbing.

Avocado Trees

Plant in a hole that is 2 to 3 times larger than the pot. Plant in full sunlight, in well-drained soil at least 8-10 feet from patios, structures, and pipes. Plant in an area that is protected from the wind or add support. Deeply water and cover with mulch.

Fast growing, easy to care for and propagate. Plant in a sunny area, in a hole 1.5 to 2 times larger than the root in well-drained soil. Add compost before placing the plant. Fill and pack the soil around the plant. Water regularly, keeping the leaves and soil moist.

Dragon Fruit Rooted Cuttings

Rooted and ready to transplant into a larger container or directly into the ground. Plant in sandy, acidic soil in full sun with a strong supporting trellis. Water consistently and prevent exposure to frost.

This fast-growing tree should be planted in moist, sandy, well-drained soil. Plant in a hole twice as wide and deep as the root system, backfill and mulch.

Red Lady Papaya Trees

Plant in full sun, in fertile, well-drained soil. Place the plant in a large hole 3-4 times the size of the container. Fill soil around the roots and immediately water. These trees are not tolerant to frost and require regular fertilization.

Dig a hole that's about twice as wide as the plant's container, but no deeper. Gently loosen the roots of the plant before placing it in the hole. Fill in the sides of the hole with well-draining soil, like cactus soil, and water the plant.
